Here are my 4 cutie pies. The fluffy white one on the right is Tyco, my husband's dog who started the whole thing. Next came the brown one in the back, Lelo, who we got so she could keep her "big brother" company. The Yorkie, Taz, was given a home by me so that my co-worker would not get in trouble with her landlord. She was not supposed to have him, so he joined the pack. The little black chihuahua in the middle, Phoenix, was running loose in the neighborhood one morning, and when my husband chased her down and rescued her, the owner said she was tired of her running away every time the door was open and gave her to him. I just don't understand how people can just treat animals the way they do. Tyco and Lelo are rescue dogs we bought at humane societies, and Taz and Phoenix are rescue dogs of another kind. Four is our limit!! Yeah, I know we said that two was our limit, and then three was the new limit, but four is really, really, really our limit!! Expensive to take care of that many, even though they only weigh as much as one medium-sized dog when added all together, less than 50 lbs. Attachments:

We think Lelo may be part whippet. She has the body type of a whippet but a head shaped more like a rat terrier. She is pretty smart. We had to put a strong bungee cord and some bells on the door to the under-sink cabinet that holds our waste basket. She had figured out how to paw it open and make a mess. We also had to buy a metal trash can with a foot pedal that opens the lid for the bathroom because she would chew up all the stuff in the trash. I don't know how long it will take her to figure out how to step on the pedal. She has a tendency to nip your fingers when she gets excited, so she runs and gets one of her toys whenever company shows up so her mouth will be full of toy, unable to bite anyone. You can't tell from the picture but she has really long legs and is the same color as a deer.

I don't make the laws BUT I kinda agree on the license rule. Otherwise when they escape your dog is toast if/when it goes to the pound. There is no waiting list there.
