Is this what is meant by "unintended consequences"? And Goddess wrote: I think you're both right. All we can do now is to never forget her. "...So, for the sake of Christina..." :peacesign:

She's broken my heart too. I listened to an interview with her mom, and she spoke out about all the hate filled rhetoric too. I guess she knows firsthand what can happen from such irresponsible words. The little girl is a tough one to handle. It really sucks! This whole thing really sucks. The guy on the trigger will cost the taxpayers a fortune to house and take to trial. While I'm at it WTF is McCain? not a peep out of him that I've heard or read.

He called it a terrible tragedy and spoke well of the Congresswoman (this is the Reader's Digest version). He seemed to be very sincere.

There were names attached to Palin's list. Including the victims.
I do not blame her for the shooting. I blame her for being irresponsible and stupid. While she may not have been inciteful with this nut, she could incite the next one.

And not much point in discussing her anyway. With the map, and her angry stupid response to it...she has committed political suicide. Good thing she has her lovely reality show to fall back on.

since psycopaths use crosshares, bout these on cnn About that? Glad you asked: "...Today CNN announced that they are nixing Crossfire, and dropping their relationship with one of the show's "commentators" (I use that word lightly), Tucker Carlson (who claims that he actually quit months ago). CNN's new President, Jonathan Klein, said that he agreed with much of Stewart's indictments against the media. So sayeth the New York Times: Mr. Klein specifically cited the criticism that the comedian Jon Stewart leveled at "Crossfire" when he was a guest on the program during the presidential campaign. Mr. Stewart said that ranting partisan political shows on cable were "hurting America." Mr. Klein said last night, "I agree wholeheartedly with Jon Stewart's overall premise." He said he believed that especially after the terror attacks on 9/11, viewers are interested in information, not opinion. Now, few would think that Stewart is the cause for the demise of Crossfire, but his complaints are most certainly a symptom of the media's unwillingness to throw punches. Whether it's Swift Boat Veterans for Truth or forged National Guard documents, too much time is spent discussing discussions about "news." Then, what becomes news are the discussions themselves, and the journalists don't spend enough time asking whether or not any of this garbage is actually correct, or engaging in real debate. I commend CNN for dumping the likes of Crossfire, but they, like most major media outlets, have a long way to go before the thinking public truly respects them again..." Link to entire text.Proven? By who? How? The right wingnut noise box has bloviated about his reading Marx and Hitler. They never mention the rest of the list (link to list) which includes a work by Ayn Rand. Yeah, that Ayn Rand: cult heroine of Ron Paul (who named his son after her - now that's what I call a real follower - naming his own flesh and blood after her). And to anyone else, just type "tea party funding" in Google. That's all. :peacesign:

It does come from both side, you are absolutely correct Rid. And in my opinion both sides should stop. It doesn't look good when anyone acts that way.
