Well when Theme park attendence goes up like it did last year.
Attendance at North America's 50 most popular amusement parks rose 4.2 percent in 2005. Worldwide, amusement park attendance increased 2.2 percent to 253 million visitors in 2005.
Does not make it easier for the working man or someone on fixed income. But I can understand why an increase this year. but it would be nice if the gave folks a break now and then.

It would be nice if it was less expensive, but I have dropped more money at those county fairs than Disney before. I don't even like to go to them anymore....you can't even play a game for less than $1.00 and the ride tickets cost an arm and a leg. So, all in all, Disney doesn't seem like such a bad deal.

And the prices will continue to rise with demand. The theme parks, you have to admit, are pretty cool, if you don't mind standing in line surrounded by whining toddlers and parents pretending they are having fun when they're secretly asking themselves what the heck they're doing there. I've paid the admissions, stood in the lines, paid again for a meal which, by the way, is highway robbery, and said I'd never go back again. With little kids, that is. But now that I don't have to tote a toddler I can go and patiently wait my turn, without having to worry about a whining toddler. Except, it's not as fun. Tonya

Take a kid to one of the theme parks, Phoenix. It's a priceless experience. Tonya

I worked at Disney when it first opened. Not a classy job but was a janitor at the Polynesian Hotel. Probably would have stayed there but driving from Daytona to Disney on 3rd shift got old after a year.
I remember ticket prices then. Also remember the lie that as soon as the parking lot was paid for they would no longer charge to park. Must have been a very expensive parking lot since they still charge for it.
All of these attractions are getting ridiculous. Even Biltmore House up here is charging $50 a person normal price to do nothing more than walk through a dead guys house. They have a promotion $20 off right now through February and we realized we still couldn't afford it.
