Got hungry for cabbage, noodles and onions....
So I found a recipe...you saute the onions in butter with a little brown sugar to carmelize it...
(you will please notice I just used the words "saute" and "carmelize"!!)
Then you cook the cabbage in that and add the noodles...
BUT...I didn't like the idea of thin egg noodles in it...so I went looking (no I'm not ready to cook my own). Walmart had this package of Mary B's dumplings....they almost look like lasagna noodles...they are in the frozen food section. So....I bought that and broke them into smaller squares. Cooked them...then stirred them into the noodles and cabbage with a little extra butter.....
And I was transported back to the day when my friends mom made Haluski....
It's really good. If Tom gets his butt over here tomorrow, I am giving him some though because I don't want to eat them all. I'm giving Steven some too.

Yeah well, don't get too excited....I used canned sauce.
I breaded and fried the eggplant first though. Then I debated whether or not to add ricotta, but decided to leave it out. I think I'm done cooking for awhile though...I hate the cleanup!
